Acceptable use policy
Draft (counsel review pending).
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Terms of service and applies to every user and organization on PipeTakeoff.com. The rules below are the operational policy of record; if your organization or its users violate any of them, we may suspend or terminate access under the Terms of service. This draft is pending outside-counsel review; the rules themselves are in force as written.
What you must not do
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to plan, store, or distribute unlawful content.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the service, or attempt to evade tenant isolation in any way.
- Upload drawings or content your organization does not have the rights to upload.
- Upload technical data subject to export controls (ITAR or EAR), classified information, controlled unclassified information (CUI), or any drawing whose disclosure to our listed subprocessors would breach a confidentiality obligation your organization holds. PipeTakeoff.com is not authorized to process export-controlled or classified material.
- Attempt to extract third-party intellectual property from extracted output or use the service to launder protected designs into your own deliverables.
- Rely on extracted BOM data for safety-critical procurement decisions without independent verification by a qualified engineer.
- Run automated or bot accounts against the service, or share login credentials across multiple humans.
- Interfere with other tenants' use of the service, including by submitting high-volume garbage workloads designed to exhaust shared infrastructure.
Enforcement
Violations result in suspension of the offending organization's access. We will attempt to notify the organization's owner before suspension where the violation does not require immediate action; for security-relevant violations we suspend first and notify immediately afterward. Repeated or willful violations result in termination of the subscription with no refund of fees paid.
Reporting abuse
To report suspected misuse of the service by another organization or user, email abuse@pipetakeoff.com with enough detail for us to investigate (organization name, behavior observed, timeline).
