Fair use: your free trial covers 1,000 drawings in total. On a paid plan, extraction is free up to 1,000 drawings a month, then $0.50 per drawing. Most shops never touch the cap.

The system will get some lines wrong. Its job is to tell you when it's not sure.

Low-confidence lines are routed to forced human review before anything lands in your BOM, and every acceptance is recorded in the audit trail.

Test the engine before you spend anything.

Upload one of your own iso drawings and watch the extraction engine hand back a BOM preview. You don't need an account or a card, and your file auto-deletes within 24 hours.

Frequently asked

  • What counts as one iso?

One revision of one isometric drawing: a single drawing number. Continuation sheets of the same drawing count once, not per page; a drawing set with several isos counts as several. Re-extracting the same revision after a model change is free.

  • What happens in a heavy bid month?

You pay 0.20% of the materials value you put out for quote, billed once per project. A big tender only costs more when it is worth more; how much you typed never enters the math. Extraction stays free up to 1,000 drawings a month; past that it is $0.50 per drawing (fair use; most shops never touch the cap). The $399 monthly minimum is credited against that usage, so quiet months stay cheap.

  • How is this different from per-page pricing?

Per-page tools price the input: every sheet you upload costs money, so a thick package punishes you before you have priced a single fitting, and re-checking a drawing has a meter on it. Our fee is tied to the outcome instead: 0.20% of the value you actually put out for quote, once per project, with AI processing included. Nothing in that varies with volume, so the invoice is never a surprise. A $400k package costs $800 whether it took 40 drawings or 400.

  • When exactly am I billed?

When quotes flow through the product. You upload the vendor quotes that come back, PipeTakeoff reconciles them against your aggregated BOM, and the 0.20% fee is metered on the quoted value at that review, once per project. Uploading drawings, extracting, and re-working revisions never starts the meter; a quote review does.

  • How does the free trial work?

Your first project is free! Extract a full bid package, review the BOMs, and export the aggregate, with no time limit, and we never ask for a card. The trial covers 1,000 drawings in total, which is roughly two full bid packages; it is a one-time allowance rather than a monthly one, so there is no clock to wait out. You subscribe when you start a second project or run out of trial drawings, whichever comes first.

  • Can you do the takeoff for us?

Once, yes. With the managed takeoff you send us your first bid package and we deliver the human-reviewed BOM within two business days, plus the live project in your account. Then your estimators take over on a normal plan. $4 per drawing with a $500 minimum, credited toward your first subscription invoices when you convert. No service contract.

  • Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel in settings; we prorate to the end of the billing period and stop the next renewal.

  • Do you support SSO?

Not yet. Today you sign in with email and password or with a magic link, and you can add two-factor. SSO (Microsoft Entra ID first, then Okta, SAML, and Google Workspace) is on the enterprise roadmap, and an enterprise contract can pull it forward.

  • Where is my data stored?

PDFs in Cloudflare R2 (United States). Structured data in a Neon Postgres cluster (US-East). Row-level isolation enforced at the database; nothing leaks across orgs.

  • Do you train models on our data?

No. We never train or fine-tune AI models on customer drawings, and Anthropic's standard commercial API terms prohibit training on your data. Anthropic retains extraction inputs only for a limited period under those terms.
